Arrival day is on Sunday 15th April, 2018 when we will have a welcome session in the late afternoon. Most days there will be 2 yoga classes per day, each lasting approximately 2 hours, with one day off midweek to allow for longer excursions.

The morning session at 8am will consist of asana, mantra, meditation and pranayama, and will be followed by a delicious vegetarian brunch (light snacks and tea are available before 8am). The morning class will be the more dynamic practice: a creative, playful and explorative ‘deep slow flow’ emphasizing the breath, mindfulness and skillful appropriate action that will – by using and building up through a range of appropriate options – allow students, from the less experienced to the more advanced, to discover how to find and work peacefully at the level appropriate to them. The afternoon session, starting at around 4.30pm, will be a soothing and nurturing yoga practice consisting mainly of restoratives. A delicious vegetarian evening meal will then be served.

The rest of the time will be free to do as you please … going on forest hikes, visits to local temples, reading in the orchard, watching birds, etc.

Getting there
Himalayan Orchards suggest booking London – Delhi and then a separate domestic flight to Chandigarh (about £50).

Alternately, you could take the express train to Chandigarh – 3.5 hours -15£, includes a meal, which they can arrange to book for you, but that might involve staying a night in Delhi (depending on your arrival time), getting to the train station and boarding your train (can be challenging).

Himalayan Orchard can recommend a decent hotel in Delhi, used by a lot of their overseas guests. It’s near the New Delhi train station (costs 25 -30£ with free airport pickup and breakfast).
