Yoga Philosophy

St Gluvias Church Hall, Penryn
Tuesdays monthly
7.30 – 8.30pm

Dates: Sep 24, Oct 22, Nov 19

This session is aimed at students wanting to further their understanding of the underlying philosophy of yoga. Each month, we will study the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, using Edwin Bryant’s commentary. The Yoga Sutras are a manual for yoga practice, offering a succinct psychological framework to help us navigate this human life.
Starting from the beginning, we’ll work through the sutras in consecutive order, taking as much time as we need to to gain a good understanding of the text.
Each session will begin with a brief meditation, followed by teachings from Lucinda and time for questions. Not suitable for complete beginners.
Payment is by donation to cover the cost of hall hire.
