Fridays, 7 – 8pm
This session is suitable for students who have already taken the Introductory Course (see below), or who already have an established practice. Each week begins with a guided meditation practice. This is followed by a brief teaching on an element of the teachings of the Buddha, reflections/Q&A, and ends with Metta practice (the practice of loving kindness).

This course is aimed at students who are either complete beginners, or have minimal experience of meditation (guideline: not yet able to sit in meditation for 30 minutes). We will cover: suitable sitting postures for meditation practice, what is meditation, cultivating mindfulness, an introduction to the philosophy of the Buddha, benefits of meditation, tools for extending your sitting practice, gradually building up to a 30 minute practice over the duration of the course and an opportunity to ask questions about the technique.
