Cultivating Stability

Meditation and Supper Evening

June 28, 6.30 – 8.30pm, Lime House Yoga Studio, £24

On any journey of personal and spiritual growth, we need to begin by learning how to stabilise ourselves. Without the inner strength and steadfastness required for the stormy seas of transformation, we are likely to lose our way, give up or become deterred.

Anodea Judith explains: “When we are grounded, we are low – humble and close to the Earth. Resting on the ground, we have a sense of inner security because we cannot fall. We live simply in a state of grace. We have a feeling of stilllness, solidity and clarity, bringing relief from the common stresses of everyday life, and increasing the vitality of our basic life force.”

In this session, we will explore the importance of establishing a steady foundation for ourselves and look at ways in which we might go about cultivating it. The evening consists of a dharma talk and guided meditation practice, followed by a light supper.
